Hi, it’s Anna!

How’s your yoga journey going—are you enjoying it?

Today I’m sharing some tips on letting go of the “I have to push myself” mindset so you can fall even more in love with yoga and make it a natural part of your daily routine.

I hope these ideas spark fresh motivation and give you new ways to think about your practice!

Yoga isn’t something you have to “push through”—it’s something to enjoy.

Yoga isn’t a sport where you compete for flexibility or strength.

Originally developed over 5,000 years ago in India, yoga was created as a practice to align the mind, body, and breath—a path to return to your true self.

The physical poses (asanas) are just one part of a much broader system that also includes meditation and breathing techniques, all designed to help you find inner balance.

That said, for us living in the modern world, yoga doesn’t have to be a strict or difficult discipline.

I like to share yoga as a form of joyful daily self-care—something that simply makes life better.

Moving your body in sync with your breath and creating a space where you feel good and relaxed—that’s what truly matters.

So instead of focusing on whether you “can” or “can’t” do a pose, try focusing on whether it feels good and makes you smile.

Simple Ways to Make Yoga Part of Your Daily Routine

  • Set a specific time – Right after you wake up or just before bed. Tie it into your daily rhythm.

  • Keep it short – Start with just 5 minutes. The shorter it is, the easier it feels to say “I’ll just do a little.”

  • Pick one go-to video – Searching every time is exhausting. Bookmark your favorite class to remove the guesswork.

  • Leave your space ready – If your mat is always out, it becomes that much easier to step on and start.

  • Write it on your calendar – Seeing “yoga” in your daily schedule helps make it a real commitment.

※Think of yoga as part of your everyday hygiene—like brushing your teeth or taking a shower.

The goal is to get to a point where you don’t have to decide whether to do it—your body just does.

Take a Moment to Reconnect with Why You Practice Yoga

I created my online program, Yoga with Anna, with one clear goal in mind:To help people build a consistent, sustainable yoga habit.

Right now, I offer four live sessions a week, thoughtfully balanced across different focuses—Basic Yoga, Body Shaping, Goodnight Yoga, Facial Yoga, and Flexibility Training.

By practicing together at set times, it becomes easier to show up—even on those days when you feel like skipping.

Just knowing others are there, moving with you, gives you that gentle nudge to roll out your mat.

  • Together is better than alone – Even through a screen, the feeling of moving in sync with others creates a sense of connection that boosts motivation.

  • Same time, same day every week – A consistent schedule makes it easier to build yoga into your weekly rhythm—and stick with it.

  • Familiar, repeatable flows – Repeating similar sequences helps your body remember the movements, making it easier to notice your own progress and feel a sense of growth.

“Don’t push—just enjoy.”That’s the heart of my Yoga with Anna program.

So let me ask you—what’s your reason for practicing yoga? And once you reach that goal… then what?

Some people practice yoga simply because it’s become a habit.

Others keep showing up because it makes them feel grounded and supported—no specific goal in mind.

And yes, there are also those who’ve moved on to something new after reaching what they set out to do.

As for me, there’s never a day I don’t practice yoga.Even when my mind is overflowing with yoga-related thoughts, it’s the practice itself that brings me back to calm.

Your life, your body—whether you enjoy them or not is ultimately up to you.

Why not take a quiet moment to listen to your body, check in with your heart, and rediscover what yoga means to you today?

When You Stop Forcing It, You Start Loving It—And That’s What Keeps You Going

When you choose enjoyment over effort, the motivation to keep going comes naturally.

On days when you’re not feeling your best, just breathing or lying in Savasana is more than enough.

Don’t be hard on yourself—focus on what you did do, even if it was just a minute.Tell yourself, “I practiced yoga today, and that’s awesome.”

Even if it didn’t feel fun in the moment, go ahead and tell yourself it was—sometimes a little “positive lying” is a surprisingly effective trick! You have the power to shape your mindset.

Those tiny wins, day after day, are what slowly grow your love for yoga—until one day, it simply becomes part of who you are.

3 Easy Steps to Start Your “No-Pressure Yoga” Routine Today ✨

  1. Schedule Your Yoga Time

Even once a week is enough to start.

Just add “Yoga Time” to your calendar or set a reminder on your phone—treat it like any other important appointment.

  2. Create a “Just This” Routine

For example: 1 Sun Salutation / 3 breaths in Cat-Cow / 2 minutes in Savasana.Keep it short and simple—adjust to how you feel that day, and you’ll always know exactly where to start.

  3. Adopt a “Better Than Zero” Mindset

Even just a few deep breaths count as a win.The fact that you showed up—even for a moment—builds confidence and helps yoga naturally become part of your daily life.

Don’t waste time looking for reasons not to do it.

Even if you only did a little, go ahead and call it a great session. Celebrate it, and keep going!

Summary

Yoga isn’t something you have to “push through”—it’s a joyful habit that helps you care for yourself.

So starting today, try shifting from “I have to do yoga” to “I want to do yoga”—and even better, “I enjoy doing yoga!”Let it gently become part of your daily rhythm.

With love and light,Namaste 🙏
