Hi, it's Anna! 🌿✨

How’s everyone doing?

It’s June, and we’re right in the middle of the rainy season! Here in Fukuoka, the weather’s been going back and forth between sunny and rainy—and it’s definitely getting more humid!

Do you ever feel like…“Ugh, I just can’t move today,” or“My body feels so heavy…” around this time of year?

Actually, there are three main reasons why we feel so sluggish during the rainy season:

  • The humidity cools down your body and disrupts circulation, making you feel more tired.

  • The air pressure fluctuations can throw off your autonomic nervous system, affecting your overall well-being.

  • Less sunlight means less serotonin (your “happy hormone”), which can lower your mood.

So if you’re feeling “blah” lately—it’s not just in your head. There’s a real reason for it!

But don’t worry! This is the perfect time to take just a few quiet moments in the morning to gently reset your mind and body.

You’ll be amazed how much lighter your whole day can feel 🌞✨

Today, I’ll be sharing a simple bed yoga routine that’s perfect for rainy mornings like these.

3 Morning Yoga Poses to Reset Rainy Season Fatigue

🌼1. Easy Cross-Legged Pose to Release Tension in Your Hips and Shoulders

ree

Start by sitting cross-legged.

Gently lean your upper body slightly forward and to the side, threading one arm under the opposite armpit.

You’ll feel a deep, gentle release around your lower back and shoulders—it’s such a soothing sensation ✨

This pose is perfect for the rainy season, as it helps prevent back pain and relieve shoulder tension.

Be sure to do the same on the other side.Take slow, deep breaths as you move—that’s the secret🌿

🌼2. Dynamic Twisting Pose to Wake Up Your Spine and Inner Organs

ree

While sitting on your bed, gently open your legs a little and slowly twist your upper body from side to side.

As you exhale, deepen the twist—this helps stimulate your internal organs and refresh you from the inside out ✨

A soft twist through the spine also helps to rebalance your autonomic nervous system.

Bonus benefits?

It can relieve constipation and improve flexibility around your hips and lower back!

Twist with ease and let both your body and mind feel lighter 🌈

🌼3. Side Body Stretch to Open the Chest and Awaken Your Breath

ree

Finally, we’ll move into a gentle side body stretch.

Bend your right knee and sit with your pelvis upright.

Turn your upper body slightly toward your left leg, open your chest, and place your right hand behind your head.

As you inhale, imagine reaching your right elbow up toward the sky.Repeat the same movement on the other side.

This pose opens up the chest and back, helping you breathe more deeply and freely.

It also gives a gentle boost to your kidneys and liver—making it perfect for waking up your body in the morning ✨

Breathe slowly and fully, and just enjoy the stretch 🌸Don’t push yourself—listen to your body and repeat each side a few times as it feels right.

We’ve also created a special bed yoga video that includes this and other poses perfect for rainy mornings.

Wake Up from Within with Warm Water and Lemon 🍋
ree

Rainy mornings can feel so much better with just a small, thoughtful ritual.

One of my favorite ways to start the day—or follow a yoga session—is with a warm cup of water and a fresh squeeze of lemon.

(Of course, it’s lovely before yoga too.)

After gently moving your body in bed, that sip of warm lemon water helps awaken you from the inside out 👀

This kind of mindful start can guide your entire day with calm and clarity 🌿

Let the vitamin C from the lemon and the gentle warmth of the water help you feel refreshed and balanced—even on a rainy morning.🌿

A Morning to Align Yourself at Your Own Pace

ree

Rainy mornings can feel so much easier with just a little intention.

Gently moving your body in bed and spending a few mindful moments can help set a soft, comfortable tone for the whole day 🌞

When you learn to embrace the humidity, pressure changes, and that heavy feeling—and move through them in your own way—your body and mind naturally begin to feel lighter.

Those small choices you make each morning will slowly blossom into deeper comfort over time.

No need to rush, no need to push.

Just begin in your own rhythm.

Let’s enjoy these peaceful mornings together—nurturing ourselves, one breath at a time🧘‍♀️✨
